Kansas Boxing Commissioner

The Kansas Boxing Commissioner, in cooperation with the Kansas Athletic Commission, oversees regulated sports within the State. Regulatory responsibilities include issuance of licenses to referees, judges, physicians, managers, contestants, timekeepers, seconds, promoters, and matchmakers for regulated sports contests in addition to event oversight.

Mission Statement

The Kansas State Athletic Commission shall work towards making Kansas a model state for the welfare of boxers, kickboxers, wrestlers, and martial artists. The Commission shall continually strive to provide authorized control and official direction for professional boxing, kickboxing, wrestling, and martial arts while encouraging the promotion of these sporting events in the State of Kansas and generating public awareness with respect to regulated sports.

Vision Statement

The Kansas State Athletic Commission fosters a sound and safe environment in which the sports of boxing, kickboxing, wrestling and martial arts can thrive. The Boxing Commissioner and the Kansas Athletic Commission regulate and facilitate high quality competitive sporting events while striving to protect the health and welfare of all participants and spectators.

Federal Boxing and National MMA ID's

Promoters, boxers and mixed martial artists, please be aware that any athlete submitted to be included on any professional boxing fight card or any professional/amateur mixed martial arts cards in the State of Kansas will be checked for any suspensions on the  FightFax.com or   MixedMartialArts.com systems respectively.  All fighters will be expected to show their Federal Boxing ID or National MMA ID prior to being approved to participate in any contest. If a fighter does not possess the appropriate Federal or National ID, it will need to be procured prior to event participation.
